PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The goal of this program is for you to be challenged in all vocal styles. Our goal is to enrich your knowledge of Musical Theater, Jazz, Contemporary, and Pop vocal styles - so you will leave with a deeper understanding of what it takes to reach a professional level.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Entering grades 9-12 in the fall.
  • Experience in one of these vocal styles: Musical Theater, Classical, Contemporary, Pop, or Jazz.
  • Vocalists should bring a mic and XLR cable.
  • Campers are asked to email us a "pre-screening video." This is not an audition, it is just to allow the Musical Theater faculty to become familiar with your voice, level of experience, and musical preferences. Please submit 32 bars of two (2) contrasting musical theater songs showcasing your acting, vocal range, and musicality. Please state your name at the top of the video. Please record yourself in landscape mode (horizontal), making sure your video is well lit, and there are no distracting background sounds. You may also include an optional 1 minute monologue and/or dance reel.
