If your child is entering grades 2-5 and has studied an instrument for at least one year, then our Elementary JAZZ Program is right for you!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program is the perfect introduction to a Music Camp. Our goal is to make sure your child is learning, but at the same time having fun too! As a parent, this is a great way to nurture a love of music in your child. Surrounded by their peers, children feel comfortable trying out new things! The camp also provides a safe environment for our campers. Counselors escort the children throughout the day and are also on hand to help them in their activities. And don't forget to save the date - we end camp with a concert where every child performs with their class!

REQUIREMENTS

Entering grades 2-5 in the fall.
Has studied saxophone, trumpet, piano, bass, guitar, or drums for at least one year.
All applicants who meet the above requirements may enroll in the Camp.*
All bass, guitar, and wind players must bring their own instrument to Camp. (bass and guitarists must also bring a small amp with a cart and a cable.)

ELEMENTARY JAZZ PROGRAM
DAILY SCHEDULE (9:00 A.M. - 3:45 P.M.)

9:00 - 10:00	ENSEMBLE Jazz Band: Campers learn the nuts and bolts of how to play in a band! They get coaching from our expert teachers and have fun while learning!
10:00 - 10:15	BREAK
10:15 - 11:15	STOMP Using games and fun activities, campers will improve their music skills.
11:30 - 12:00	LUNCH (Lunch is included in the camp tuition) After our morning classes, we walk to the UM cafeteria. Campers will be able to select from the grill (hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries), salad bar, pizza, hot meal of the day, and the deli. There are also fresh fruits, desserts, and beverages. Campers sit all together, supervised by their counselors.
12:15 - 1:15	WORKSHOP Our expert teachers help you get better at playing your instrument! Guitar Workshop Wind Instrument Workshop Rhythm Section Workshop (piano, bass drums)
1:30 - 2:30	SPECIAL ACTIVITY Campers will enjoy karaoke, inside and outside games, our camp talent show and more!
2:30 - 2:45	BREAK
2:45 - 3:45	JAM SESSION Campers have fun being creative in a live jam session - guided by our instructors who are experienced with working with elementary age children.
3:45	REGULAR DISMISSAL

EXTENDED CARE

Supervised before and after care is available.
Before Care: 7:30 am - 9:00 am
After Care: 3:45 pm - 6:00 pm

HOW TO APPLY

Please follow these steps to Register:

Click on the "Register Here" Link for the Track that applies to you below. The Link will take you to the Session Selection Page and the Cart for your Program. There is no need to filter or search for your Program on the Session Selection Page as long as you used the correct "Register Here" Link for your specific Program. Make sure you know the e-mail address of your music teacher. Also, please decide if you want to add an optional class and/or a private lesson for an additional fee.

On the Session Selection Page, Click on the "ADD TO CART" Link for your Program. Make sure the Program Name and Track are correct. Your Program will automatically move into "YOUR SHOPPING CART". Click on the CONTINUE Link in the Shopping Cart, which will take you to the Registration Information Page where you can begin the registration process.

Complete the following information to Register.

Section 1: Enter Your Email Address and Click "NEXT".
Section 2: Enter Participants & Options. Complete the required Participant Information. "Session Options" for your program will be pre-selected. Additional classes offered appear as "Optional Classes" and may be selected by checking the appropriate Box or Boxes. Click CONTINUE.
Section 3: Please complete the Registration Forms, including the Waivers and Agreements, and sign your Digital Signature. Click "CONTINUE TO CART".

Review Cart & Check out. Review the accuracy of the "ORDER DETAILS". If you have a Coupon Code, enter it now.

Go to the "CHECK OUT" Section and select either "PAY IN FULL" or "Pay $0.00 now, and then Pay Balance manually".

Click COMPLETE and you will receive a Confirmation E-mail with the details of your Order.

You can login to your Online account at any time to verify your registration and pay your balance. A $200 deposit is required to reserve your child's place and an additional $200 to reserve the Dormitory. This includes your $40 ($75 after April 1) non-refundable Registration Fee. Deposits are due within 10 days of registration. There will be NO refunds issued except for a documented medical emergency. Full payment is due 1 month prior to the start of each session.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation when your payment has been processed.
