BIOGRAPHY

Adrian GordonADRIAN GORDON

Adrian Gordon is an active performer, composer, and music educator living in Miami, FL. Mr. Gordon currently serves as the orchestra director at Westminster Christian School, in Palmetto Bay, FL. He received his B.A. in music from the University of Miami, and his Masters degree in Music Education at Florida International University. In addition to teaching, Mr. Gordon is the founder of Leap Year Music Publishing which, publishes string music for elementary, middle, and high school ensembles. Mr. Gordon's compositions appear on the Texas, Florida and Georgia Orchestra Association Music Performance Assessment Lists. His compositions are distributed through JW Pepper and have been performed throughout the United States. Adrian resides in Miami with his wife Kelly and their two sons.

STEFFEN ZEICHNERSTEFFEN ZEICHNER

Steffen Zeichner is a creative violinist who actively performs jazz, classical, klezmer, and a variety of other genres. Steffen is also a passionate educator with a focus on developing the creative potential of string players, particularly through exposing them to musical genres outside of the classical world and by helping students develop improvisational skills. Throughout his career Steffen has performed with a variety of top artists including Chick Corea, Gloria Estefan, Cyrille Aimee, Nestor Torres, Kenny Loggins, Ben Folds, Maria Schneider, Terence Blanchard, and George Benson, with whom he was featured as the violin soloist and concertmaster for Benson's 2013 album, "Inspiration". He has a BM in Violin Performance from Indiana University, and is currently working on his dissertation (on jazz violin pedagogy) for his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the University of Miami.

Scott Flavin enjoys an incredibly versatile musical career. Since 1998 he has been a professor of violin at the Frost School of Music of the University of Miami, where he is first violinist of the internationally-acclaimed Bergonzi String Quartet, as well as Resident Conductor for The Henry Mancini Institute. He also is concertmaster of Florida Grand Opera, and violinist/violist for PULSE Trio. As a composer and arranger, his works have been heard on "Performance Today" and have been recorded by the Bergonzi Quartet. As conductor, he has appeared on the podium with such diverse artists as Joseph Silverstein, Bobby McFerrin, Mark O'Connor, and Chick Corea, and is Music Director of the Miami Mozarteum Orchestra. His recordings include chamber music on the Naxos, M&W, and Centaur labels, and commercial recordings on Sony, EMI, and Warner Brothers, including appearances on over a dozen Grammy Award-winning albums. He has written three plays, and his book, "Complete Scales for Violin" is available through M&W Music. He has recorded two solo CDs, "Great Violin Solos of the Opera and Ballet" and the Brahms violin sonatas.
