Introduction to Music Program

Imagine your child learning to play the piano, be introduced to other instruments and exploring new things on the beautiful University of Miami Frost School of Music campus...

Due to popular demand, the Camp is pleased to offer a special program for young children who will be entering grades 2-4 in the fall. Students who have had no formal training or up to one year of study will learn how to play the Piano - which forms the basis for studying other instruments. They will also be part of a musical theater ensemble, learn about drumming and rhythm in our "bucket class," as well as learn about other instruments. Your child will be taught by our expert teachers and enjoy age-appropriate classes with their peers. They will be supervised by our trained counselors and enjoy a full day of activities, including a hot lunch. After experiencing our fun program, your child will want to continue taking lessons at the Frost School of Music Prep Program in the fall!

SO... JOIN US AND HAVE FUN PLAYING AND LEARNING MORE ABOUT MUSIC THIS SUMMER!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program is the perfect introduction to a Music Camp. By the end of the week, your child should have a good idea of what it's like to study music! Our goal is to make sure your child is learning, but at the same time having fun too! As a parent, this is a great way to nurture a love of music in your child. Surrounded by their peers, children feel comfortable while trying out new things! The camp also provides a safe environment for our campers. Counselors escort the children throughout the day and are also on hand to help them in their activities. And don't forget to save the date- we end camp with a concert where every child performs with their class!
