DORMITORY INFORMATION

DORMITORY PROGRAM

Experience dorm living at its best! Campers age 13 and up will be able to interact with other serious musicians in their peer group. Participants will be supervised by our experienced dorm counselors. Linens, excluding pillows, are provided in the air-conditioned semi-private rooms. Three meals per day are provided in the dorm cafeteria. After the camp classes are over for the day, dorm participants are met by their dorm counselor. They go back to the dorm to rest and relax until dinner. All dorm campers go to dinner together, and then they have their choice of activities. Each activity is supervised by one of our counselors. They include: Wellness Center (on-campus fitness center with an indoor pool, raquetball, indoor track, etc.), Group rehearsals/jam sessions in the School of Music, or they can remain in the dorm where there are individual practice rooms available. On the weekends, we rent a bus to go bowling, to the BEACH, and to the movies.! Our dorm counselors plan other fun dorm activities such as our famous Dorm Talent Show, s'more night, and more!

Session A:
Cost: $ 1100, includes room, board, and dorm activities. (camp tuition is extra)

Session B:
Cost: $ 1600, includes room, board, and dorm activities. (camp tuition is extra)

Check in: Sunday, June 17 (session A) or Sunday, July 1 (session B) between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm (Free airport transportation for campers arriving to Miami International Airport will be arranged by the camp for campers arriving at MIA between noon - 5:00)

Dinner: 5:30 pm

Dorm Orientation: 6:15 pm

Check out: Friday night, June 29 (session A) or Friday night, July 20 (session B) after the conclusion of the final concert at 10:00 pm. Students departing by air should book the earliest flight on the day following the final concert. (Saturday - before noon). Free transport to MIA is available for campers departing from UM between the hours of 8:00 - 11:00 am.
