"...it's not everyday that people get to meet Jazz legend(s) or the Miami Saxophone Quartet. The special guests were my favorite part. I also got to meet new people and enjoy everything with the friends I made. I really like everything about the UM camp..."

Elementary Program
(See tuition page for fees)

Program Description
The Elementary Program is offered in the areas of Band, Piano, Guitar, Voice, and Orchestra. Your child will receive instruction by our top level professional musicians and educators – all in a small group setting. They will be exposed to more advanced students who will inspire and motivate them for the whole year! Many of our pre-college campers started in the Elementary Program and now attend music magnet high schools. They will hear professional concerts and have fun performing in the camp talent shows and karaoke. They will never forget our famous Shoe Game and the delicious popsicles served every afternoon! All campers will be closely supervised, with one counselor per group of 8 campers. This program is geared to elementary school age students who have had one to two years of training on an instrument or voice. Complete beginners are not eligible to apply. Older elementary students (grades 4 – 5) who have had 3 years of music training should consider the Intermediate Program ( teacher recommendation is required). Each session concludes with a final concert. Students attending multiple sessions will not repeat the same material learned in previous sessions.
